ASPADO students participated in the II Wheelchair Adapted Paddle National Tournament organized by Aspaym Toledo-Imperial Indoor Paddle. A first-class event that has been consolidated in the city of Toledo and that had the participation of 42 players, among which were the best in this sport.
ASPAYM TOLEDO, is a non-profit association that has been operating since 1990, representing the Spinal Cord Injured and the Greatly Disabled before the provincial and local administration. It is within the ASPAYM National Federation of Spinal Cord Injuries and participates in the associative movement of the disabled both at the provincial, regional and national levels.
The president of Aspaym Toledo, José Ramón Del Pino, thanked the support of the Toledo Provincial Council and the Community Board, as well as especially those responsible for the Imperial Padel Indoor Club.
The tournament, organized by Aspaym Toledo and the Imperial Padel Indoor Club, seeks to contribute to the practice and dissemination of paddle tennis among people with some type of physical disability. The competition complies with the characteristics of an official contest and will be a scoring test for the ranking of the Paddle Chair Association, considered a Premium category.
Antonio, David and Sara (photo) were the representatives of ASPADO in this tournament that brought together the best Spanish pairs in a tournament that scored for the ranking and that for the first time had the presence of four female couples.
The president of ASPADO, Kiki de la Rocha, was present at the competition and congratulated the organizers for the consolidation of this tournament.
